     As a form of direct learning in the world of work, Statistics and Quality Engineering Laboratory Industrial Engineering Universitas Brawijaya make a visit to PT. Amerta Indah Otsuka in Kejayan, Pasuruan. Otsuka company has many products such as pocari sweat, soyjoy, and ionessence. PT Amerta Indah Otsuka located in Pasuruan only produce pocari sweat products. The visit was attended by Mrs. Debrina Puspita Andriani ST., M.Eng as Head of Laboratory of Statistics and Quality Engineering along with assistant of Statistics and Quality Engineering Laboratory batch of 2014 and 2015. In group also participated in three winners of “POISSON” (Poster of Statistic Competition) that has been held previously Dipty Maura Sabilla, Luthfi Kurniawan, and Rheza Adnandy of the force of 2016.

     The Group of Statistics and Quality Engineering Laboratory departed from the Industrial Engineering Building (GTI-UB) at 12:00 pm by bus. Arriving at PT. Amerta Indah Otsuka entourage was warmly welcomed by Mr. Didik by giving each person a bottle of pocari. The visit started with the delivery of company material by Mr. Didik followed by question and answer session. “PT. Amerta Indah Otsuka is a Japanese company engaged in pharmaceuticals. Production process at PT. Amerta Indah Otsuka implements the clean and modern theme adopted from the previous company located in Sukabumi, West Java “said Mr. Didik as the representative of PT. Amerta Indah Otsuka who delivered the introduction of company profile. Furthermore, the group was invited to see the production process of isotonic pocari sweat beverage from bottle making to finished product and ready to be distributed to all regions in Indonesia. On the way in the production process in addition to explained about the production process of the entourage was also invited a discussion of the process he saw. Mr. Didik also explained about deeper companies such as employee recruitment systems and on how employees can work with high performance and facilities that exist in the company.

      In this visit Mrs. Debrina said that this activity can continue and give positive impact for both parties. In addition, Rheza, one of the winners of the POISSON competition said “We get a lot of benefits from following this event, ranging from book prizes, company visits, and learning theories that are taught in the classroom directly in the industrial world.” the winner also thanks the Laboratory of Statistics and Quality Engineering for the opportunity given.
