       In order to improve the quality of the SQE laboratory, 10 people consisting of laboratory assistants and head of Statistical and Quality Engineering Laboratory visited the Study Program Statistics, Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Brawijaya on Thursday, 8th June 2017. This visit was received by the Chairman of the Study Program Statistics, Rahma Fitriani, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Secretary of the Department of Mathematics. Suci Astutik, S.Si., M.Si, along with the Head of Statistics MIPA Laboratory, Samingun Handoyo, S.Si., M.Cs.

Head of Statisticmipa1s and Quality Engineering Laboratory, Debrina Puspita Andriani, ST, M.Eng said that the purpose to come to Study Program Statistic is to exchange information and get to know more about Statistics at University of Brawijaya. The visit begins with introductions from the Statistics Program of MIPA, starting from the human resources owned, the curriculum used, the process of laboratory and laboratory used to support the academic activities in this MIPA Statistics Study Program. In addition, also discussed about statistical software used to support the activities of Practicum, starting from SPSS, Minitab, Mathlab, SAS and other software. In addition to these activities, also carried out the delivery of the SQE Laboratory, starting from the Education that is practicum and training, research conducted by lecturers and students, as well as community service activities that have been done. The activity then continued with a visit to the laboratory used by Study Program Statistic, and ended by take photos together.

“We feel this visit is very useful for us. We know how academic activities are done here, practicum , software used, and training that we can carry out to increase our knowledge in the field of statistics, “said Fachrezy Pangestu Widi, Coordinator Assistant of SQE Laboratory.

With these activities, it is expected that cooperation between the two parties can be more closely and can carry out cooperation in the form of various useful activities in the future. (DA/RK)
