     The Statistics and Quality Engineering Laboratory, Industrial Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya sent its delegation to participate in the Industrial Engineering Competition of Atmajaya (IECA) competition who organized by Universitas Atmajaya, Jakarta. The delegation consists of 3 (three) active Lab assistants. SRK who joined the SQE team, namely Roby Kurniawan SRK’14, Annisa Dian Islami SRK’14, and Maulivia Rizma SRK’14.

    The series of activities held from July 11 to July 14, 2017 which is held at the Campus of  Universitas Atmajaya. IECA competition this year is participated by 15 teams of participants who qualify for the semi-finals of various universities throughout Indonesia. The event was opened on July 11, 2017 by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Atmajaya. The first round of the race at the semi-finals 1st stage  begins with the work on the questions given at each post in the campus environment of Universitas Atmajaya on July 11, 2017. In the evening participants are given case studies to be completed as well as making a report. The next day in the semi-final stage II followed by making Power Point from the case study and presented on July 12, 2017. The evening was held Gala Dinner and announced 5 (five) teams that qualify for the grand final round. At this announcement stage, delegates from the Statistics and Quality Engineering Laboratory must stop after being removed by the other 5 (five) best teams.

    “The impression is that after joining this IECA race, we are happy to meet and compete with the industrial engineering students from various universities in Indonesia. We are also proud to be one of the teams that qualified in the 15th stage. Thanks to this competition, we can further explore the role of industrial engineering graduates in solving problems in the world of work. And hopefully this kind of race can continue to run and better as a container of industrial engineering students to improve their knowledge, “said Roby Kurniawan. (FPP/BA)
