1462782411850      As one consideration in the preparation of new subjects syllabus about Tourism Management,  on 5 – 7 May 2016 Statistic & and Quality Engineering Laboratory Field Study   to Bali Island. Bali has the highest revenue from its tourism sector, so it should serve as a good reference related to Tourism management processes.


      The field study activities were followed by 9 assistants of SRK ’13 and accompanied by the Head of the SQE Laboratory Mrs. Debrina Puspita Andriani ST., M. Eng and Mr. Nata L.Tri Wijaya Kusuma., ST., MT as the Head of the Laboratory from the previous period.

      During field study, SQE Team visited ITDC as a place to conduct the study related to tourism management. ITDC itself is an abbreviation of Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation, which is an institution that is engaged in the development of tourism. During the visit, the SQE Team was greeted by the representatives of ITDC, explained outlines related to tourism management process conducted on the Bali Island, especially in the area of Nusa Dua which has been the focus for the development of tourism by ITDC.

      “This event is certainly very helpful. Especially in Industrial Engineering UB will take new courses related to tourism management. So the field study was mainly with the party that does have a good tourism management capability is very necessary.”, said Mr. L.Tri Wijaya Nata Kusuma, ST., MT.

      With this Field Study, it is expected the Statistic & Quality Engineering Laboratory will be able to give better contribution related to tourism management courses corresponding to those in the tourism industry today. (AL/AAR)
